On My Desk

It's paint, paint, paint around here these days...and I couldn't wish for a better company than my deer {dear} planter that holds some of my brushes...I just love it when things combine practicality and whimsy, and it helps with the fact that I collect such things in heaps, and if they didn't have any use (apart from the obvious decorative one), I would simply tumble under their weight...~or would be in need of an ever-expanding home to accommodate them all :)

The Sad One

This little orange rascal is my first-ever plushie... My father bought him for me the day I was born, and we have been inseparable since...I named him The Sad One when I was 3 years old, and I was convinced that he was alive. This had very much to do with the fact that once I detached his facial features that weren' t in sync with my aesthetics as a wee one, (notably his nose and tongue) a little hole revealed itself on the place of his tongue. So I knew that it must have been his mouth, and since I could push french fries in it and they disapeared, he must had eaten them, correct?

My, the imagination I had as a little one...

So when we had to take our picture in the kindergarten with what we had crafted that Christmas, of course I brought him along! Now I don't remember why I had that look in my eyes that day, but I am sure I whispered it to his ear...

Summertime...

It is officially summer now, and you can tell by this photo of yours truly...

...and that break on the beach was very much needed indeed, as this has been a busy,busy week preparing new exciting things for the little shop, which I will share with you in a few days!!! Lots of new paintings, drawings, and some fun wee bits as well, which I am totally swooning over!!!

Oh! Also, a huge, huge thank you on your support so far!!! It has been priceless!!!

On Most Treasured Holidays...

I guess everyone has one single holiday that he/she cherishes above all other holidays for different reasons. And no matter how many years pass by, a single glimpse at captures of those times can travel you back in time, and sort of take you there again, if only for a second or two...So I happened to come across two captions of my favourite holiday to this day today, and the happiness, tranquility and joy of that time washed over me all over again, and I sort of had to share them with you. This lovely creature was just a couple of seconds away from where we were staying...

We may never be able to go back to precious moments, but we still have the memory of them to cherish, no?
